About This Trail
The North Loop branches from the main Sandstone Trail to explore additional geological features in the northern section of this unique area. The route passes weathered sandstone outcrops, traverses several ravines via footbridges, and offers different perspectives on the dramatic terrain. Combined with the main trail and South Loop, hikers can spend a full day exploring this area.
Getting There
From the main Sandstone Trailhead, hike approximately 1.5 miles to the signed North Loop junction. The loop can be hiked in either direction and returns to the same junction.
