About This Trail
This easygoing trail meanders along the wooded shores of Toledo Bend Reservoir, connecting fishing piers, picnic areas, and scenic overlooks. The level, well-maintained path is perfect for family strolls and relaxed nature observation, with pine-scented breezes and sparkling water views throughout. Several fishing piers along the route allow hikers to take a break and cast a line for the reservoir’s famous bass.
Getting There
From Anacoco, take LA-392 west for approximately 20 miles to LA-191 south. Continue to South Toledo Bend State Park entrance. The trail begins at the main parking area near the park's boat launch facility.
