Sprewell Bluff Park Trail

Sprewell Bluff Park along the Flint River offers one of Georgia’s most underrated hiking experiences, with trails exploring a dramatic river gorge carved through Georgia’s Fall Line. The paths descend steep bluffs to reach the river’s edge, where Class II-III rapids create a soundtrack of rushing water and swimmers cool off in deep pools during summer months. The diverse habitats support abundant wildlife, while the relatively remote location ensures a peaceful experience even on busy weekends. Historic sites along the trail include remnants of an old mill and bridge abutments from earlier eras.
