Steel Creek Overlook Trail

Rising from the popular Steel Creek campground, this trail climbs steadily to a bluff overlook with spectacular views of the Buffalo River and surrounding wilderness. The panorama encompasses some of the most scenic terrain in the Buffalo National River, with the river curving through its valley far below and forested ridges extending to the horizon. Early morning visitors may spot elk grazing in the valleys, and the relatively short distance makes this achievable for most hikers.
