About This Trail
Stone Mountain State Park features a 600-foot granite dome that rises above the surrounding piedmont. The loop trail circles the mountain, passing Stone Mountain Falls, a 200-foot cascade down the face of the dome.
Getting There
From Elkin, NC, take US-21 north to Traphill Road. Turn left and follow signs to Stone Mountain State Park. The main trailhead is near the park office.
