About This Trail
Sweetwater Creek State Park preserves the ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, a Civil War-era textile mill. The Red Trail follows the creek past the picturesque ruins and through beautiful piedmont forest with excellent views of the shoals and rapids.
Getting There
From Atlanta, GA, take I-20 west to Exit 44. Follow Factory Shoals Road south to the park entrance.
