About This Trail

Following the bed of the former Gulf Mobile & Ohio Railroad, the Tanglefoot Trail stretches nearly 44 miles from New Albany to Houston through some of Mississippi’s most scenic hill country. The paved, multi-use surface makes this ideal for walking, jogging, or cycling, while historic depots, charming small towns, and pastoral farmland provide constant interest. Benches and rest areas appear regularly, and the gentle grade ensures accessibility for users of all fitness levels.
