About This Trail
This popular segment of the Tuxachanie Trail features boardwalks over pitcher plant bogs and easy walking through longleaf pine forest. The relatively gentle terrain and interesting botanical features make this an ideal introduction to De Soto National Forest hiking. Wildlife is abundant, and the solitude increases with distance from the trailhead.
Getting There
From Wiggins, take US-49 north approximately 5 miles. Turn west onto Bethel Road (FR-402C) and continue to the trailhead parking. The segment continues east toward US-49.
