About This Trail

Nestled in the heart of Roswell, Vickery Creek Trail offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and Civil War-era history. The trail winds through a lush hardwood forest along Big Creek, leading hikers past the atmospheric ruins of the Roswell Manufacturing Company cotton mill, which was burned by Union troops in 1864. A picturesque covered bridge spans the creek, creating one of the most photographed spots in metro Atlanta. The shaded paths meander past cascading waters, rocky outcrops, and the remains of the old mill dam. Spring brings carpets of wildflowers, while autumn transforms the canopy into brilliant shades of gold and crimson. This family-friendly trail system offers multiple loop options, making it easy to customize your hike length.
