About This Trail
White Rock Mountain rises from the Ozark plateau to offer some of the most expansive views in northwestern Arkansas. The trail loops around the mountain’s summit, passing through cedar glades and hardwood forest to multiple overlooks where the forested ridges of the Ozarks extend to the horizon. Historic CCC-built cabins at the summit provide overnight options, and fall foliage here rivals anywhere in the state.
Getting There
From Natural Dam, take AR-103 south approximately 3 miles. Turn east onto FR-1003 and follow signs 8 miles to White Rock Mountain Recreation Area. The trail begins at the summit parking area near the historic cabins.
