About This Trail
Following the route of an old mountain road, this trail provides a less-traveled alternative for exploring Mount Magazine’s diverse terrain. The historic roadbed makes for easier hiking than some steeper park trails, while overlooks provide scenic rewards along the way. The trail connects to other Mount Magazine routes, allowing hikers to create longer loop combinations.
Getting There
From Mount Magazine State Park visitor center, take the park road south toward the park boundary. The Will Apple's Road trailhead is located approximately 2 miles from the visitor center, marked with a small parking pullout.
