About This Trail

A 5.1-mile out-and-back on the white-blazed Appalachian Trail gaining 800 feet to broad cliff-top views of Greenbrier Lake and the Cumberland Valley. Rock climbers frequent the cliff line, and the blue-blazed spur to Black Rock Cliffs adds another mile of westward panoramas.

Getting There

From Boonsboro, take US-40 east (Baltimore National Pike) to the Appalachian Trail parking area. The parking lot is on the south side of US-40 with a blue-blazed connector trail leading to the white-blazed AT toward Annapolis Rock.
