About This Trail
A 0.9-mile trail leading to Ash Cave, the largest recess cave east of the Mississippi, with a horseshoe-shaped rim spanning 700 feet and a 90-foot seasonal waterfall. The paved lower path is wheelchair accessible, while the rim route offers elevated views over the massive alcove and hemlock forest below.
