About This Trail

Looping around the base of Pinnacle Mountain, this 2.7-mile trail connects the East and West Summit trailheads through shaded forest with river crossings and rocky sections. Light green blazes guide hikers through terrain with 239 feet of elevation gain and views of the surrounding Arkansas River Valley.

Getting There

From Little Rock, take I-430 to Exit 9 and head west on Highway 10 (Cantrell Road). Turn right onto Pinnacle Valley Road and follow signs to Pinnacle Mountain State Park. The Base Trail starts at the west summit trailhead near the visitor center.
