About This Trail

Stretching 223 miles from Talimena State Park in Oklahoma to Pinnacle Mountain near Little Rock, this blue-blazed National Recreation Trail traverses the Ouachita Mountains through pine-oak woodlands and rocky outcroppings. AT-style shelters support multi-day section hikes along well-maintained, foot-traffic-only tread.

Getting There

From Little Rock, take AR-10 west for 7 miles from I-430 Exit 9. Turn north on AR-300 for 2 miles to Pinnacle Mountain State Park. The Ouachita Trail western terminus is accessible from the park's Base Trail area.
