About This Trail

A steep half-mile ascent up Mount Battie in Camden Hills State Park, culminating at a historic stone tower with commanding views of Camden Harbor, Penobscot Bay, and the island-studded coast. Some sections require hands-free scrambling over narrow rock ledges. One of Maine’s most photographed summit panoramas.

Getting There

From Camden, drive to 57 Megunticook Street in downtown Camden. Park at the small lot at the end of the road. The Mount Battie Trail climbs the south face of the mountain from this trailhead.
