About This Trail

An 8-mile flat, paved segment of Indiana’s longest rail-trail, the 62-mile Cardinal Greenway, which follows a former CSX railbed through Muncie in east-central Indiana. This National Recreation Trail and Rail-Trail Hall of Fame inductee draws over 250,000 annual users through farmland and wooded corridors in Delaware County.

Getting There

From downtown Muncie, the Cardinal Greenway follows a former rail corridor through the city. Access the paved trail from the White River trailhead or from multiple crossings along the Muncie segment.
