About This Trail

The most accessible of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks at 4,098 feet, this 4.8-mile round-trip follows a ridgeline with three steep pitches between gradual sections. The bald summit rewards hikers with 360-degree views of the surrounding High Peaks. Arrive early, as the Route 73 trailhead fills quickly.

Getting There

From Lake Placid, take Route 73 east 8.4 miles toward Keene. The Cascade Mountain trailhead and parking are on the right side of Route 73, just before Upper Cascade Lake.
