About This Trail

A 1.7-mile boardwalk trail through Cedar Bog Nature Preserve, actually a calcareous fen fed by underground springs left by retreating glaciers 12,000 years ago. Ohio’s first state-purchased nature preserve protects over 40 rare, threatened, and endangered species across 450 acres, with interpretive signs along the elevated walkway through this boreal relic habitat.

Getting There

From Urbana, take US-68 south approximately 4 miles. Turn west onto Woodburn Road and continue 1 mile to the Cedar Bog Nature Preserve entrance and parking lot at 980 Woodburn Road.
