About This Trail

Crossing the full width of Land Between the Lakes from Lake Barkley to Kentucky Lake, this 11-mile trail features 2.5 paved miles and 8.5 miles of compacted stone. Seven access points and gentle grades through rolling hardwood ridges make it ideal for section hiking or a full day between the two lakes.

Getting There

From Grand Rivers, enter Land Between the Lakes via the Woodlands Trace. The Central Hardwoods Scenic Trail is an 11-mile loop in the northern section of the recreation area, accessible from trailheads along the Trace.
