About This Trail

A mixed forest and marsh-edge loop in Cheesequake State Park, located at the geological transition zone between the northern and southern New Jersey landscapes. The trail passes through pine barrens, hardwood forest, and salt marsh, sometimes within the same mile. A unique ecological crossroads in central New Jersey.

Getting There

From the Garden State Parkway, take Exit 120 and follow the brown park signs to Cheesequake State Park. The hikers parking lot is on the left shortly after the ranger station at 300 Gordon Road, Old Bridge.
