About This Trail

Winding 12 miles along one of Arkansas’s designated Wild and Scenic Rivers, this strenuous River Corridor Trail traverses the roughest terrain in the Ouachita Mountains. Six distinct habitats from dry shale pits to mature pine-hardwood forest line the route, with overlooks of Class III-V rapids and the Cossatot’s cascading clear water.
