Looping 3.3 miles through six distinct habitats at Cossatot River State Park, this blue-blazed trail transitions from shale pits to mature shortleaf pine forest. Goat’s Bluff overlook offers spectacular views of the Cossatot River, with a bench for soaking in the Ouachita Mountain scenery.

Getting There

From Wickes, take Highway 278 east approximately 9 miles to the Cossatot River State Park sign. Pull into the Harris Creek Trailhead parking lot at the park boundary, about a mile east of the visitor center.
