About This Trail

Walk through an 800-foot natural gorge at the base of Mount Liberty, where granite walls rise 70-90 feet with only 12-20 feet between them. The 2-mile self-guided trail features boardwalks, covered bridges, and Avalanche Falls, a 45-foot cascade created by the great storm of 1883.

Getting There

From Lincoln, take I-93 to Exit 34A and follow signs to the Flume Gorge Visitor Center at 852 Daniel Webster Highway. The 2-mile loop trail begins at the check-in booths in front of the visitor building.
