A 1.4-mile out-and-back trail near Norwich climbing 413 feet via well-built stone steps to a historic fire tower atop Gile Mountain. Getting There

From Norwich village, head west on Main Street and turn left onto Turnpike Road. Drive 5.3 miles, staying left at New Boston Road and Upper Turnpike Road intersections, to the trailhead parking on the left.
