About This Trail
A 3.4-mile ridge climb through old-growth forest to Government Peak, one of the highest points in the Porcupine Mountains. The trail gains significant elevation through dense hemlock and hardwood canopy to broad upland viewpoints. Connects to the Escarpment Trail and serves as part of longer backcountry loop options.
