About This Trail
Circling the 80-acre Hematite Lake near Woodlands Nature Station, this 2.2-mile loop features a quarter-mile boardwalk through wetlands and beaver marsh. Iron ore artifacts, ancient oaks, and seasonal wildflowers like Virginia bluebells and trilliums line the easy, family-friendly path.
