About This Trail

A 2.7-mile gorge trail through Clear Creek Metro Park where eastern hemlock canopy shades a rocky creek corridor in the Hocking Hills foothills. Multiple creek crossings on stepping stones and uneven rocky footing add challenge, while the hemlock-draped ravine maintains cool temperatures even in summer.

Getting There

From Lancaster, take US-33 south approximately 5 miles and turn onto Clear Creek Road. Follow it to Clear Creek Metro Park, where the Hemlock Trail descends through steep ravines and hemlock groves.
