About This Trail
Named for dense rhododendron and mountain laurel thickets that swallowed a hunter named Ebenezer Jeffrey before 1925, this 4.2-mile trail descends an old roadbed toward South Fork Citico Creek. A steep final half-mile plunges into the wilderness, accessed from Rattlesnake Rock along the Cherohala Skyway.
