About This Trail

An 18-mile backpacking loop along Michigan’s first designated National Wild and Scenic River, with a primitive campground at Pinney Bridge near the halfway point. The trail constantly climbs in and out of the Jordan River Valley, passing scenic overlooks and cedar-lined blue-ribbon trout stream banks. Fall color is spectacular in early October.
