About This Trail
A 7.2-mile backcountry segment of the Shore-to-Shore Trail near Fife Lake in Kalkaska County, crossing forested ridges and open wetland edges through the northern Lower Peninsula. Originally designed as a horseback riding route connecting Lake Michigan to Lake Huron. Rolling terrain through mixed pine and hardwood forest with remote character.
