A quick climb to the 652-foot sandstone summit of South Sugarloaf in Deerfield, where a three-level observation pavilion overlooks the Connecticut River, surrounding farmland, and the Mount Tom and Holyoke ranges. A classic Valley overlook accessible by trail or auto road.

Getting There

From I-91 in Deerfield, take Exit 24 and follow MA-116 south to the intersection with Sugarloaf Street. Turn onto Sugarloaf Street and continue to the Mount Sugarloaf State Reservation parking lot.
