About This Trail

A 4.3-mile route climbing 1,269-foot Mount Toby in Sunderland, the highest summit east of the Connecticut River in this region, crowned by a fire tower with 360-degree views. The east side features a hundred-foot series of waterfalls, pools, and chutes over rugged conglomerate ledges.

Getting There

From Sunderland center, take Route 47 north for about 4 miles. Turn right on Reservation Road and continue to the Mount Toby parking lot on the right, near the state forest sign.
