North Plateau Loop Trail
Trail along the northern plateau of Monte Sano Mountain
The north loop focuses more on history of the area than the scenery. Along the way hikers pass ruins of structures built by the CCC, as well as the amphitheater they built, which is still standing. Caves, a waterfall, and an observatory are also located along the trail.
