About This Trail
A challenging Catskills route linking major overlooks above the Hudson Valley, including Sunset Rock and Inspiration Point, where 19th-century artists Thomas Cole and Frederic Church painted their masterpieces. The blue-blazed trail traverses summits above 3,000 feet along the dramatic escarpment edge. The full trail extends 23.9 miles as a multi-day backpack.
