About This Trail

A challenging 5.5-mile out-and-back ascent to the 3,957-foot summit of Pico Peak via the Sherburne Pass Trail, passing Pico Camp shelter and crossing ski runs. The summit delivers 360-degree views of Killington Peak, Chittenden Reservoir, and the surrounding Green Mountains.

Getting There

From Rutland, take US-4 east about 9.3 miles to Sherburne Pass. The Sherburne Pass trailhead parking is on the south side of US-4, across from the Inn at Long Trail, 1.4 miles west of VT-100.
