About This Trail

A family-friendly forest and lake-edge loop circling Ramapo Lake in Ramapo Mountain State Forest. The mostly flat trail passes through mature hardwoods with picnic spots and water access along the shore. A popular year-round destination accessible from the Skyline Drive parking area.

Getting There

From Oakland, take I-287 to Exit 57, then head north on Skyline Drive briefly. The lower parking lot is on the left with a large wooden sign. Walk to the trail at the far end of the lot to pick up the Lake Shore Spur.
