About This Trail

Paved interpretive path at the site of an 1863 Civil War clash during Grant’s Vicksburg Campaign. Walking the former Yazoo and Mississippi Railroad corridor, visitors encounter cannons, interpretive signs, and a hilltop overlook across the preserved battlefield.

Getting There

From Raymond, take MS-18 west to the Raymond Battlefield site. The walking trail is at the Civil War battlefield park, located along the Port Gibson Road southwest of Raymond.
