About This Trail

This short but very difficult trail leads from Cheaha Lake to Cheaha Mountain, the highest elevation in Alabama. The trail ends just a bit below the top, gaining almost 1000 feet in less than a mile. Although the hike is difficult, the views are absolutely stunning, and make the hike well worth the effort.

Getting There

From Anniston, AL, take AL 281 south to Cheaha State Park. Rock Garden Trail features unique boulder formations within the park.
