About This Trail

Easy half-mile path in the Sampson Mountain region of Cherokee National Forest culminating at a spectacular 25-foot waterfall. Clear streams flow through a lush cove of hemlocks and rhododendrons in the Clark’s Creek drainage between Erwin and Greeneville.

Getting There

From Erwin, take I-26 east to Exit 32 for TN-173. Follow TN-173 to TN-107 east for 3.5 miles toward the Unaka Mountain Wilderness area. The Sill Branch trailheads are accessible from Forest Service roads.
