Skyline-Cliff Trail Loop
Hiking loop through Chimney Rock Park
Make a Day Trip
Estimated total time: Varies
About This Trail
The loop incorporates both the Skyline Trail and the Cliff Trail into one trail: from Chimney Rock out to Hickory Nut Falls, then back to Chimney Rock.
Other interesting points along the hike (besides the falls) include the Opera Box, Devil’s Head, Exclamation Point, Peregrine’s Rest, and Groundhog Slide, just to name a few.
The park charges $14 for adults, $6 for youth ages 6-15, and children under six are admitted for free. The views along this trail are numerous and nothing short of stunning (and the geological formations are really fascinating), so don’t let the park fees scare you away. It’s worth it!
