About This Trail
A long reservation route through the 2,110-acre South Mountain Reservation connecting Hemlock Falls, Rahway River headwaters, and forested ridgelines of the Watchung Mountains. The orange-blazed trail extends roughly 34 miles when including its full Essex County corridor. A surprisingly wild experience close to New Jersey’s urban core.
