Connected to Black Balsam Knob along the Art Loeb Trail near Blue Ridge Parkway milepost 420, Tennent Mountain reaches 6,040 feet with sweeping alpine-like views. Treeless summit balds in Pisgah National Forest provide some of the Southern Appalachians’ most spectacular panoramas.

Getting There

From Asheville, take the Blue Ridge Parkway south to milepost 420. Turn right onto Black Balsam Knob Road. Park at the Art Loeb Trailhead halfway down the road to access Tennent Mountain via the loop.
