Cutchenmine Trail
Trail along Lake Guntersville
Description:
The main attractions of this trail are the views of the lake and the wildlife, most notably the birds. Lake Guntersville is a nesting area of the bald eagle; each January Eagle Awareness is held at the lake, when birdwatchers from all around come each weekend to watch the eagles leave their nests before dawn. The early morning event is followed by lectures about eagles back in the park lodge.
Large blue herons and ducks call this area home as well.
