About This Trail

This 1.4-mile trail at Abbott’s Mill Nature Center near Milford loops through deciduous woodland and Atlantic White Cedar groves, with a handicap-accessible boardwalk following a coastal plain stream to open meadows. The free trail system surrounds a historic grist mill listed on the National Register, with kayak rentals available on the 20-acre mill pond.

Getting There

From Milford, take Route 36 southwest approximately 4 miles to Abbott's Pond Road (Route 620). Turn onto Abbott's Pond Road and continue to the nature center at 15411 Abbotts Pond Rd. Parking is available by the Visitor Center.
