About This Trail

This 2-mile trail through the headquarters tract of Redden State Forest, Delaware’s largest at over 14,000 acres, winds through loblolly pine and mixed hardwood stands near Georgetown. The flat sand-and-gravel path passes through dense woods, swamp crossings, and meadow clearings, with primitive campsites and a catch-and-release fishing pond nearby.

Getting There

From Georgetown, take SR-113 north, then east on E. Redden Road (Road 565). Turn right onto Redden Forest Drive to the Redden State Forest headquarters. Parking is available at the headquarters building past the fishing pond.
