About This Trail
This 2.9-mile trail in Alapocas Run State Park begins near the historic Blue Ball Barn, a 1914 dairy barn built by Alfred I. du Pont, and descends through mature pawpaw groves and rocky slopes along the Brandywine River. With 220 feet of elevation gain, the route connects to the Northern Delaware Greenway and features North America’s largest native fruit-bearing pawpaw trees.
