About This Trail

This 3.4-mile trail follows the Rocky Run tributary through Brandywine Creek State Park, traversing the Piedmont plateau’s hilly terrain that sets northern Delaware apart from the rest of the state. The natural-surface trail passes through mature hardwood forest along steep stream-valley slopes with 200+ feet of elevation gain and rocky footing in sections.

Getting There

From Wilmington, take Route 100 north to Brandywine Creek State Park. Rocky Run Trail follows two creeks with small waterfalls and is accessible from the park's main trailhead area.
