About This Trail

Winding through Cossatot River State Park’s Ouachita Mountain terrain, this woodland trail crosses creeks amid mixed pine and hardwood forest. Nearby trails connect to views of the wild Cossatot River and its Class III-V rapids, within a 5,300-acre natural area of outstanding geological features.

Getting There

From West Memphis, AR, take I-40 west to Exit 4 for Mound City Road. The Austell Trail is in Wapanocca National Wildlife Refuge. Follow signs south from the exit to the refuge entrance and trailhead parking.
