About This Trail

Following a narrow, exposed ridge with panoramic Red River Gorge views, this 5-mile loop combines Auxier Ridge and Auxier Branch trails. Iconic sights include Haystack Rock and Courthouse Rock, with the route dropping through old-growth forest and small springs feeding Auxier Branch below the cliffs.

Getting There

From Slade, KY, take KY-15 south for 3.3 miles, then turn left onto Tunnel Ridge Road. Follow Tunnel Ridge Road for 3.7 miles to the dead end at the Auxier Ridge trailhead parking lot in Red River Gorge.
